I'm currently a graduating Senior and a student in at the LBST 1102-H71 Arts and Society: Film course at the Universtiy of North Carolina at Charlotte. I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English and French, as well as a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. Since I was a child, I've always loved books and films because the ideas, people, and worlds created in a story seek to bind each and everyone one of us together; hence, through stories we are able to define the world around us and our relation to it. Most of my evidences in this portfolio were chosen based on both the story and the meaning I was able to derive from it.
After graduation, I will apply to become a French Teaching Intern for the French Embassy in the United States which will permit me to teach English to students in France for one year. I also plan on continuing my education into graduate school to pursue a Masters in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies as well as a Doctorate in English with a specialization in 20th and 21st century American prose, poetry, and short stories. This will help me accomplish one of my life goals which is to become a Professor at a university so I can share my love of language and stories, in both visual and book format, with the world.
